PCoAR was started in 2009 by a small group of people and their concern for unwanted animals in Perry and Juniata Counties. PCoAR wanted a place where unwanted or lost animals could go to be safe until they could find them a new home.  With the help of volunteers, PCoAR has successfully found homes for many animals. PCoAR has not only found homes for many animal, but have also been able to reunite lost pets with their families.
